MARCH/SUPERNOVAS 25: A "DAY" IN THE LIFE OF THE UNIVERSE STORY CALENDAR!
This day in history. What a difference a day makes. A day in the life of _________. These are a few of the ways we humans refer to what happened on a particular day here on Earth recently or way back when. In this paper we will look closely at the date of Supernovas/March 25. It has been New Year’s Day up until 1752CE (Common Era), it has recently become the United Nations (UN) International Day of Remembrance of Victims of Slavery, it still is the Feast of the Annunciation within the Catholic Church and the synchronistic birthday for two World calendarist’s.
MARCH 25TH-NEW YEAR’S DAY
When the Gregorian Calendar of 1582-2017CE was promulgated by Pope Gregory XIII most of the Catholic country’s at that time started to use the new World Calendar within a few decades. In defiance of the Pope and the Catholic Church because of the recent Reformation begun in 1517CE by Martin Luther, Germany and other Protestant country’s did not adopt the Gregorian until much later. In 1700CE Germany began to adopt the Gregorian with Great Britain and the American colonies following suit in 1752CE. Sweden was the last to begin using the new World Calendar in 1753CE.
With the adoption of the Gregorian came a different New Year’s Day; January 1. Up until 1752CE in Great Britain and the American colonies among other country’s, New Year’s Day was celebrated on March 25th each year for centuries. One of the main theories for March 25 was that was the date of the Spring Equinox and the beginning of a new season of more sunlight.
MARCH 25TH-U.N. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF VICTIMS OF SLAVERY AND THE TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE
On December 17, 2007CE the U.N. declared March 25th the International Day of Rememberance of Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. From 1501 to 1830, four Africans crossed the Atlantic for every one European, making the demographics of the Americas in that era more of an extension of the African diaspora than a European one. (U.N. website) This is an essential time to know our human story and why the United States continues to struggle with racism and shame.
MARCH 25TH-FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION
Each year, exactly nine months before Christmas, the Catholic Church and other Christians celebrate the biblical story of young Virgin Mary being visited by the archangel Gabriel who tells her she is pregnant and will be the Mother of Jesus, the Son of God.
MARCH 25TH-SYNCHRONISTIC BIRTHDAYS: Christoph Clavius-The Gregorian Calendar 1582-2017CE, Thomas Spiritbringer-The Universe Story Calendar 2017-2020CE
Carl Jung defined a synchronicity as “a coincidence with meaning.” When deeply researching for The Universe Story Calendar Initiative’s Book and Calendar (see the entire book for free at www.theuniversestorycalendar.org) I came across the Jesuit German priest and Vatican mathematician/astronomer Christoph Clavius. After the death of the designer of the Gregorian Calendar, reformer Aloysius Lilius, Clavius took over as the promoter and chief manager of the Gregorian Calendar project for Pope Gregory XIII. His zeal and belief in the new world day recorder was very familiar to me. I was, more or less, playing Clavius’ part in our new World Calendar of 2017-2020CE:The Universe Story Calendar! And we had the same birthday of March/Supernovas 25!
Along with also playing the “reformer” part that Aloysius Lilius played until his untimely death in 1576CE, I could totally relate to Clavius’ zeal and energy for his calendar project. From the promulgation of The Gregorian Calendar on October 15, 1582CE until his death on Feb 6, 1612CE, Christoph called on all Catholic and non-Catholic country’s to adopt the new calendar. I can relate to how hard it is to orchestrate a “paradigm shift” in what people were used to. It didn’t help that the Protestant Reformation was well underway into the late 1500’sCE.
On average around the planet, 21 million people share your birthday day! Who are they and what can we do to celebrate our unity as one Human Community!
Cheers, Thomas the Evolutionary Calendarist of The Universe Story Calendar
